Our Mission...
What inspired Mountain Journeys®? While training in Whistler, British Columbia, Todd volunteered his time with campCARE Snowboard Camps, a non-profit foundation dedicated to restoring hope and trust to children who have been subject to abuse.

The program works by taking children out of their unhappy and unhealthy environment and bringing them to the mountains of the U.S. and Canada. Here they are provided with snowboard equipment at no cost and one on one coaching from some of the best minds in the industry. These coaches provide not only excellent snowboard instruction, but also role models to children who may not have any. Once they leave the hill, the children have a renewed sense of self-esteem, confidence and personal accomplishment, as well as being capable riders.
Mountain Journeys®strives to encorporate positive peer relations as well as coaching role models into the program. Disadvantaged children from all walks of life will be able to interact, share in each others' experiences and form lasting friendships that will grow over time. Each child will play a crucial role in helping others socialize and reach out for support. The atmosphere creates an ideal environment for personal growth in every participant.

As you probably know, skiing and snowboarding are not inexpensive sports to partake in. Mountain Journeys® relies on industry sponsors for its equipment needs, and the efforts of volunteers. The success of the program has been proven through snowboard camps at Crested Butte, CO, Kirkwood, CA, Mt. Baker, WA and Mt, Hood Meadows, OR. Youth from all over the country are the beneficiaries of these camps, and the support doesn’t end when they go home. Mountain Journeys® retains relationships with the kids offering them a valuable link to the organizations network of support for as long as they need.
If you’ve been searching for a ski and snowboarding organization with a good cause, its here. Mountain Journeys®... come be a part of our growing team. Additional sponsors and volunteers are always needed to continue to run these clinics at minimal costs. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer, please contact Mountain Journeys® at 303.339.0676 or email mjssc@mountain-journeys.org.
